I'm sure someone has thought about this before right? I used it to kill shambler on apprentice and veteran with very mimimal damage + stress. As long as he gets to 2nd spot, it doesn't matter because hew will kill the first round of tentacles, then you're all good to go. Of course, with you being surprised what you'd need to do is put leper at the back beforehand and hope he gets moved to the front.Įither way, you could spend the first round moving everyone back behind leper so he's in 2nd spot at least. If you camp out beforehand and take dmg buffs, the fight goes thus That way, the shambler will always go BEFORE your leper. Bonus points to trinkets that reduce speed. Have a leper with extremely low speed (or abomination) and stack dmg + accuracy trinkets. They can be resisted whilst the latter mentions cannot. So has anyone else thought about this kind of strategy? Shuffles from the giant and Shuffling Horror/Shambler are entirely different effects from Ambush/Surprise. Like the full-reverse where they go from 1-2-3-4 to 4-3-2-1, or where just 1 and 4 swap, etc. Sometimes though it seems like there are several pre-set shuffles. That's actually what started this thought in my head. I've never noticed this on a surprise, but I'm sure I've seen it on Confusion Spores at least once, where noboby got shuffled but they didn't doge or show any "resist" prompts. If so, then you should have about a 1/4*3*2 = 1/24 chance of not getting shuffled at all. That's basically my question: *IS* there a 0% chance of your team being put in the correct place? I mean, does it LITERALLY shuffle your people where there is a 1/4 chance of your Rank-1 person being put in rank 1, and then if so a 1/3 chance of your Rank-2 person being put in rank 2, and if so a 1/2 chance of your Rank-3 person being put in rank 3? Better than the 0% chance of keeping everyone in the right place, however. Originally posted by UnluckyDuckie:It's not a guarantee to work as sometimes only half the team will shuffle.
